Game Summary:

The nine refers to the nine artifacts, which are just bursting with evil curses. The department had them locked up safely for a while, but now they're scattered all over the country and people are dying. You have to act quickly to find them all before the damage gets too far out of hand.

How to Play:

The gameplay in Department 42 is all over the place, and that's a very good thing. You'll spend some of your time searching, deciphering secret codes, mixing potions; the usual stuff for an agent like yourself. Each section is accessible and self-explanatory and the variety will keep you from getting bored.

Tips & Hints:

You have a gadget in the lower left corner of the screen that dispenses hints when you need them, and they're unlimited, but you'll need to let it recharge after each use.

If you're not sure what you're looking for, move your cursor slowly across the screen until something with a name pops up. That's how you'll know it's an important object and you'll be interacting with it in some way.
